The APMN is hosting a Composers' Workshop featuring world acclaimed liturgical music composer, Tony Alonso. The event is to be held at St Gregory's College, Campbelltown, 100 Badgally Rd, Gregory Hills NSW 2557.

The cost is $25 for APMN members and $50 for non-members. Members must FIRST log in to the Members Area, then go to the event to see the member pricing for the event.

Starting time is 9am and finishing time is 4pm. Nearby bus service route 840 from Campbelltown Station.

Limited space available, so be quick to book your place for a wonderful opportunity to spend with one of the leading composers of pastoral music.

DETAILS

Tony Alonso is a Latin Grammy-nominated composer of sacred music and a scholar known for his work that engages with the diverse realities of contemporary culture. A Cuban-American Roman Catholic, Tony's compositions incorporate a rich blend of multicultural musical styles, while remaining deeply rooted in the traditions of liturgical music. His work reflects a strong commitment to creating vibrant, meaningful ritual songs that resonate with today’s worshippers.

Tony will begin with a session of prayer and introductions, followed by Session I: Foundations of Composing for Liturgy. Those who attend will then be invited to share some of their own compositions in a music sharing session. This will be followed by a shared lunch (provided) and then end with Session II: Confessions of a Liturgical Composer.
