The Wollongong Chapter of the Australian Pastoral Musicians Network began with in 2011. This is the first chapter established under the APMN and is significant in beginning local networking among pastoral musicians within the Diocese of Wollongong. (Including the Illawarra, MacArthur and Southern Highlands)
A Chapter is a regional division of the Association as approved by the Executive Committee. It is envisaged that each Chapter will be represented on the Executive
Committee and will have a local Chapter committee to co-ordinate the work of the Association within the local region.
The Wollongong Chapter was formed at the inaugural APMN meeting where more than twenty prospective members met at the Wollongong Liturgy Festival in 2011. The first Chapter meetings were held in 2012.
The Chapter aims to provide local APMN members with support and a means of networking with local pastoral musicians. The Wollongong Chapter has developed a positive relationship with the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong through the Diocesan Liturgical Commission (DLC).
